Depending on the characteristics of the pool, the filtration equipment and the chemical used, keeping the pool water clean can be a simple task or, on the contrary, a real nightmare.
Just when we think we have everything under control, the pool water starts to become cloudy, or green spots start to appear on the tiles and we get frustrated because we are doing what has always worked.
In this sense, you should know that the pool is a dynamic place, which means that many factors, both internal and external, influence the way we keep the pool water clean: the sun and the influx of bathers are the most decisive. If one day there are more bathers than usual or it is warmer than usual, the water will need more chemicals to treat it, otherwise it may start to deteriorate.
Some of the parameters that you should take into account to keep the pool water clean are:
- The water should be colourless, clear, visually and biologically clean.
- The pH level should be between 7 and 7.6 for the chlorine to have a disinfecting effect.
- The free chlorine should ideally be between 0.8 and 1.2 mg/l (or in accordance with the applicable regulations). This value should be measured at least daily using a chlorine and pH analyser kit.
- In the case of tablets or tablets, place them in the specially designed tablet dispensers. If we place the tablets in the skimmers, we can break the pipes due to excess sediment.
Another factor in keeping the pool water clean is the quality of the chemicals used to treat it. In this regard, we rely on the DELSA brand of chemical products from the Spanish manufacturer ERCROS.
With more than 40 years manufacturing chemical products for swimming pools, the quality of their products is exceptional, all formulated and produced in Spain (most brands produce their products in China).
